Graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University "J.J. Strossmayer " in Osijek, and obtained a Security Manager Certificate at the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Zagreb. As Chief Police Advisor, Dario recently retired on personal request. In the system of the Police Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior, he worked as Head of the Organized Crime Department and Deputy Head of the Osijek-Baranja County Police Administration, Head of the Drug and Crime Department of the National Police Office for the Suppression of Corruption and Organized Crime (PNUSKOK), and Head of the Požega Slavonia County Police Administration. He attended and completed a range of expert and specialist training courses at home and abroad organized by the leading law enforcement agencies (FBI, US Marshall Service, Canadian Royal Mounted Police, Europol, DEA) on human resources management and on conducting complex operations. He also participated in a number of international operations of joint investigative teams.
Apart from being Croatia's Homeland war volunteer and veteran, Dario is also a member of the Croatian Association of Security Managers. Former permanently appointed Expert Witness for Telecommunications and Audiovisual Works in the Field of Special Evidence Actions. He is licensed to perform security and detective activities.
